okay, levity and joke match reports aside, i hate being injured. this comes from an injury prone person newae.. blah. dunno how on earth i managed to hurt my calf so badly... speculation that it's a tear of a muscle or a pull isn't really helping. i can't believe it's a pull tho... i mean, i've had pulled muscles before and they 1. don't go crack when u pull them, 2. tend to make it stiff but bearable to walk. i can't even walk now la... @)(!#*)!@&.

Match Report: Bartley 3-0 Riverlife

Starting Lineup: Pastor Dave Mann, Joel Chong, Kenneth Lwi, Mark Chow, John Tan, Dino, Daniel Lee, Alvin, Jason Yang, Nicholas, Edmund

The Bartley team were missing several key players, namely J Kwok their keeper and several of their older players who had other committments before the match. Therefore, they started with Pastor Dave in goal, with Joel Chong, Kenneth Lwi and Mark Chow forming a three man defence in front of him. The Bartley team then packed the midfield with John Tan, Dino, Daniel Lee, Alvin and Jason Yang stringing out from right to left to both support the attack and help out with the defence. Up front, Nicholas and Edmund were the starting strikers. Riverlife played with one striker and several attacking midfielders as they attempted to counter the packed midfield of Bartley.

The match started fairly quickly, with Bartley pushing up in an effort to pressure the Riverlife team into conceding. A quick attack up the left flank was well stopped by defender Jerome from riverlife. Playing a 3-5-2 formation, Bartley's wingers were constantly under pressure and falling back to help defend. This resulted in a lack of width, especially on the left as winger Jason Yang worked with Mark Chow to prevent attacks on the left. Right winger John Tan deserved praise for tirelessly running up and down the flank, turning defence into attack in the blink of an eye. Riverlife managed to get a toehold in the game, hitting several shots off target and forcing the Bartley defence on to the back foot. In the end, the Riverlife team would be left to rue their profligate finishing. With a system of rolling substitutions being used, changes to the team begun to ring in as the hot morning sun took it's toll. Forward Edmund made way for Steven, an older player who nonetheless had great tactical knowledge and skills. As the Bartley team hit back, the Riverlife team started to concede corners. In one case, a short corner from Jason Yang to Nicholas ended up with the ball being pushed back to Jason Yang who tried an attempt from just outside the box. However, the shot was awkward, and bobbled to Steven who managed to get a shot on target. The Riverlife keeper made a fine save and that spell of pressure ended with a long clearance from the Riverlife defence. The half ended 0-0.

Second Half Lineup: J Kwok, Kenneth Lwi, Pastor Dave Mann, Mark Chow, Josia Sim, Dino, Daniel Lee, Terrance, John Tan, Steven, Alvin

The second half started much as the first, with the exception of the changes to the teams. Jason Yang came off for Josia Sim with John Tan switching to the left flank and Josia taking the right flank. The pressure was on for Josia as he had to contend with Riverlife's star player and captain Randolf. All credit to Josia however, as he shackled Randolf effectively, reducing his contribution to the game. Still playing 3-5-2, the Bartley team started to control the match, creating chances down the wings. Steven was replaced with Jason Yang up front, while John Tan was replaced by J Low on the left after some sustained play, and these substitutions seemed to change the game, as moments later, a goal was scored by Bartley. An attempted throught pass from Daniel Lee was cut out by the Riverlife defence, but the clearance was poor, allowing Daniel Lee to play a brilliant headed pass to Jason Yang, who despite the attentions of the central defenders, managed to flick the ball up and over the head of the onrushing keeper, 1-0 to Bartley! Superb team goal, created by Daniel Lee's vision and craft. The match restarted, and immediately Riverlife pushed up to pressure the Bartley defence, as they sought an equaliser. However, the Bartley defence held firm and attempted to exploit the spaces left at the back as Riverlife pushed forward. Misfortune struck mere moments later, as Jason Yang injured his calf after a cross from the left. Forced to hobble off, he was replaced by Edmund in the left forward position. This was a blessing in disguise, as again, Bartley struck throught Edmund shortly after, 2-0 to Bartley! This was a great reversal from the previous match, where Bartley was beaten 4-1. This seemed to deflate Riverlife's spirits as even though they kept pushing up, a spark was missing in their play. Edmund had one more glorious chance which he unfortunately spurned, before Steven scored the third goal to crush any chances of a Riverlife revival. As the clock ran down, Riverlife attacks became more and more desperate, and challenges became more intensive, one of which resulted in Daniel Lee limping off for the final few minutes of the match. When the final whistle went, many handshakes and thanks were shared between both teams as they dispersed.

teacher's day celebration today.. haha. it was kinda interesting, tho not as good as last years... ahaha. shao was a maniac today la, dunno what he ate in the morning, ahha, he sat behind me the entire celebration and ranted and raved abt the lack of stripping and sex in the entertainment... hahaha. we gave a standing ovation to the teachers, ahaha, turned arnd to mr how, and applauded him, and another teacher waved. hahaha. damn funny la... on purpose obviously... haha.

played soccer after that, and i've gotta say that i hate it when it becomes cramped... no space to do anything and you've gotta be really physical. missed a hatful of chances... blah. playing soccer again next saturday... ahha. revenge time...

have i mentioned that i think our junior president has an attractive attitude? haha. really sassy... haha. dunno abt her looks la, but i think her attitude, while slightly irritating, has this attractiveness in the sense that she's willing to take the school on and all... haha. especially when nobody's listening to her. haha.

haha. went to watch alien vs. predator today with fiona, peggy, joses and shao... pretty interesting movie, i must say... heh. lucky i read up a bit from the website and prev. movies before... otherwise i'd be seriously lost.... haha. i think it's like those who never watch the other movies in the franchise before this would haf to get a bit of background info. heh. like why the aliens attack the face and all... the predators were kinda cool, heh. liked the masks alot... but aside from the aliens, it dint seem that scary anymore... the predators seemed more like protectors than anything... there was more tension when the aliens were out and about, hunting predators and humans alike... oh wellz, the end was seriously anti-climatic, AND so obviously leading on to a possible sequel. heh.

soccer on fri, and possibly sat morning... oh and i'm supposed to go out tmr to help the class find a present... how how how? so many things to do, so little freedom time... blah.

make some sense

best viewed in 1024 X 768 resolution. a brief history about the author pertaining to the theme of shadow of transcendence. it came about in the wee hours of the early morning while being whisked away into memories of the past etched deep within the mind. bittersweetness that tingled the tastebuds of her emotions and feelings, the only way out for true liberation from this reality is what is behind the shadow of transcendence; suicide. the taste of iron-rust blood coiled with the lingering bittersweetness is the only contemplation of which the simplicity of life has to offer in exchange for the shadow of transcendence. made in the heavens through one creator, an angel borne to serve man; fell from where it belonged to earth where its purity shadowed by boredom and nohing better to do.

enjoy what i make out of maturity and childish fantasies.
